About the Role As a Nurse Practitioner you will work independently and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary model to provide advanced clinical expertise and leadership in the provision of health care to patients. This role will provide patient‑focused care and coordination that will optimise the patient journey and improve health outcomes. About the Team / Service / Location The community mental health and addictions teams provide assessment and diagnosis, treatment, advice and referral to those affected by mental health and alcohol and other drug problems. About You Working with a passionate, multi‑disciplinary team who place great value on putting people first, you will have the standard of clinical practice and expertise necessary to effectively provide for tāngata whaiora and whānau needs within the service here in Northland. Key Requirements New Zealand registered Nurse Practitioner with a current practising certificate Experience in mental health nursing, preferably in a community setting Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team Current full drivers licence Knowledge and/or experience working with people who have co‑existing mental health and substance use problems Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
