About the Role This role offers a comprehensive experience across the full range of orthopaedic specialties within a busy and dynamic clinical environment. The position provides coverage across both Otago Region and Southland Region (for some orthopaedic specialities), delivering care to a diverse patient population. This is an excellent opportunity to build comprehensive surgical and clinical experience within a well-established department. The scope of your work will be varied and will include exposure to a range of subspecialties including: Foot and Ankle Arthroplasty Sports Medicine Paediatric This position offers the opportunity to deliver healthcare across a large geographical region, providing exposure to a diverse and complex case mix and fostering the development of a broad and comprehensive clinical skill set. There is a well‑established collaborative relationship with University of Otago, supporting a range of teaching and research opportunities for those wishing to pursue academic interests alongside their clinical responsibilities. The service is strongly committed to ongoing professional development, with a structured programme that includes weekly teaching sessions, case‑based discussions, journal clubs, and peer review meetings. About You Our ideal candidate will have: Registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand or be eligible for general or provisional general registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand. A minimum of 2 years post‑qualification and possess a strong interest in progressing their orthopaedic careers and be keen to become a participating member of the team. It is a requirement of the Medical Council of New Zealand that your qualifications are approved through EPIC.
