About the role Join our Capital Delivery team and deliver infrastructure projects that directly support Auckland’s growth and resilience. With a $14bn programme over the next 10 years, you’ll be working on projects that make a real difference to the community. You’ll be responsible for delivering capital works projects across design and construction, working within a large complex infrastructure programme. Projects typically include all wastewater infrastructure, such as pipeline renewals (large and small diameter), pump stations, rising mains, pipe bridges, with a strong focus on safety, cost, programme and quality outcomes. Projects typically range from $500 thousand to $30 million. The team has a culture of supporting each other with a high level of skills and expertise and you can draw on each other’s knowledge and experience. Reporting to the Manager Design and Construction – Capital Delivery, you will ensure the strategy is able to be rolled out as planned, to successfully complete the phases of design, execution and closure. Contributing to the feasibility phases of assigned projects. Project deliverables follow Watercare's Project Management Framework. Working with internal and external stakeholders including teams across the organisation, contractors and consultants. Delivering projects safely, on time and within budget. Building strong relationships with contractors, consultants and internal teams. Proactively managing risks and resolving issues. Maintaining clear and accurate reporting across stakeholders. About you You’re an experienced project manager who can manage complexity, build strong relationships and keep projects moving forward. You’re comfortable working across multiple stakeholders and balancing competing priorities. A Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent. A strong background in engineering and 5–10 years of project management experience. Experience delivering projects through construction is essential. Strong analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail. Whilst not critical, experience in water and/or wastewater industry would be ideal.
