Job Description
Orthopaedics Registrar – Tauranga Full time role commencing August 2026. Overview Tauranga Hospital offers an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic and supportive Orthopaedics department. You will be working alongside 14 Orthopaedics Surgeons, with access to a broad range of general and specialist Orthopaedics care. The department is fully accredited by the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons for SET training, ensuring a comprehensive educational experience. The role includes a combination of trauma and elective Orthopaedics care, with rotations through Tauranga and Whakatāne Hospitals. Responsibilities The role offers eight pre-SET and four SET registrar positions. Registrars will undertake a structured training programme with four three-month rotations, providing exposure to various aspects of Orthopaedics care. Responsibilities include: providing trauma and elective Orthopaedic care, supervising house officers and medical students, and contributing to patient care in a team‑based setting.
