Orthopaedic Consultant – Upper Limb/Shoulder Position: Full‑time, permanent. Location: Rotorua Hospital with occasional travel to Taupō and Tokoroa for outpatient clinics. About the Role As a resilient Orthopaedic Consultant, you will deliver a high standard of care to the Lakes community, performing elective and acute trauma procedures in a well‑equipped theatre. You will also support outpatient clinics in Rotorua, Taupō and Tokoroa. Key Responsibilities Provide elective surgery and acute trauma management for upper limb and shoulder cases. Perform and supervise outpatient clinics, including triage and follow‑ups. Mentor and coach trainees, registrars and house officers. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and support service planning. Travel to Taupō and Tokoroa as required. Qualifications Consultant‑grade orthopaedic registrar with completion of upper‑limb/shoulder sub‑specialty training. Evidence of experience in shoulder and upper‑limb surgery.
