Teacher Aide This is an exciting opportunity to work at one of New Zealand’s leading coeducational schools. Burnside High School is seeking a motivated and caring Teacher Aide to join our Learning Support team. This is a fixed-term, part-time position (27.5 hours per week, term time only for terms 3 and 4) ending Thursday 10 December 2026, supporting students with additional learning needs to access and engage in their education. The successful applicant will work alongside teachers and the Learning Support team to assist students in the classroom and in small-group or individual settings. The role involves supporting students with their learning, helping them to develop confidence and independence, and contributing to a positive and inclusive learning environment. We are seeking someone who is patient, flexible, and committed to supporting young people to achieve their potential. The ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and whānau is essential. Strong communication skills, reliability, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team are important. Experience working with young people or supporting learners with diverse needs would be an advantage, although training and support will be provided. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a supportive and high-performing school community, where student wellbeing and success are highly valued.
