Position Overview You are a popular holiday park set in 2 acres of mature trees and gardens in Rotorua and offer people a peaceful setting for holidays. We are looking for a holiday park manager to independently manage the whole operation of the accommodation and lodge business and maintain long-term professional relations with our stakeholders. Qualifications & Attributes Diploma or higher qualification in business/management/hospitality field, or at least three years’ relevant work experience. Excellent skills in business management and administration, customer service, negotiation, communication, interpersonal and marketing. Clean police record and can pass drug test. Be available to work on weekends and public holidays. Flexibility to work within a 7‑Days a week operation including split shifts. Be able to work in a fast‑paced environment with good communication skills and team spirit. Able to work till late evenings. Key Responsibilities Coordinate and oversee the reception and reservation. Supervise and ensure good customer service is provided. Supervise and ensure timely response to room service requests and directing housekeeping and work quality checking. Supervise security of the motel by reviewing and supervising security arrangements. Oversee cleanliness and general appearance. Oversee and coordinate building repairs and maintenance including but not limited to lighting, power, heating, air conditioning, floorings, furniture, electricity, plumbing, gardening, window cleaning. Assess customer satisfaction by reviewing the customer comments by emails and accommodation booking website. Deal with customer complaints and concerns that could not be solved by staff. Ensure that tourism brochures are displayed on places where customer will have easy access to. Provide travel information to customer when asked and help arrange tours and transportation for them when requested. Collect and process advanced payments and record money earned. Review sales and activity reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement. Determine goods and services to be provided and set prices for room rates and all other services. Oversee the motel's purchasing activities. Interview, hire, supervise and manage motel staff. Train staff members to ensure efficient operation and adherence to motel policies and procedure. Assign tasks to each staff and ensure the quality of work. Ensure government health, occupational safety and licensing regulations are followed. Such other duties that the Employer may reasonably request from time to time.
