Technician

Company North Shore Motor Holdings Ltd (Continental Cars BMW), a subsidiary of Sime Motors, a leading BMW retailer in NewZealand. Role Technician – Wairau Valley Service Centre. Work in a busy workshop using the latest diagnostic technology, keeping BMW vehicles in top condition with genuine BMW parts and diagnostic equipment. Hours: 7am–6pm Monday–Friday, rostered Saturday 1 in 4 from 9am–1pm. Key Responsibilities Service, maintain and repair vehicles to BMW and company standards. Perform electrical and mechanical repairs, including suspension, steering, brakes, wheel bearings, driveshafts, exhausts and air conditioning servicing as per customer requests. Repair and maintain EV and hybrid vehicles, using electronic diagnostic equipment focusing on batteries, drive motor, auxiliary drive pack and control systems. Inspect vehicles and issue WOF certificates or detail works required to obtain a WOF certificate. Communicate cost overruns and delays to the service foreman/manager to allow timely contact with customers. Support other technicians with difficult work. Requirements Level4 Automotive Certificate or at least 3+ years of relevant experience. Ideally WOF certified. Strong mechanical skills and electronic diagnostic experience. High level of computer and communication skills. Strong attention to detail. Positive attitude and strong work ethic. Benefits Factory training using latest diagnostic equipment.
