The team at AWF in Penrose, Auckland are looking for an up-and-coming recruitment star to come in and demonstrate their people skills and drive to succeed. We are searching for a motivated Recruitment Administrator (Candidate Consultant) to join our Civil & Construction team in Penrose. About the role The role of a Candidate Consultant is central to supporting our Recruitment Consultants and Division Manager, ensuring our candidate journey is as engaging and inclusive as possible! In a nutshell, our Consultants are busy partnering with our clients, designing recruitment solutions, and managing their busy desks. What they need is dependable and dedicated support to make sure they continue to deliver an exceptional candidate experience as well. The types of tasks you would expect to do in this role include: Writing, posting, and managing job adverts across our CRM and job boards Using creative sourcing methods to identify and attract top talent Phone screening all applicants and responding promptly to candidate queries Monitoring candidate progress throughout the recruitment process Completing reference checks, background checks, and compliance tasks Writing high quality CV and profile summaries Delivering an exceptional candidate experience every time Supporting the team with ad hoc administration tasks Contributing positively to our fun, supportive team culture What we are looking for in you In this role you will be a critical part of the success of the team. We require a self‑motivated person with focus and drive, who can juggle conflicting priorities, work smart to meet the demand, keep cool under pressure and provide solutions. Ideally 1-2 years' experience in a service/sales‑focused role (exposure to recruitment would be a bonus) A positive attitude with strong emotional intelligence; the ability to read the room and adapt communication accordingly Strong administration skills and confidence using multiple software systems A service and sales‑oriented approach with the ability to build rapport quickly Strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to craft correspondence to a range of people The ability to adapt quickly to an ever‑changing industry - it is the world we live in!
