Job Description
Position Specialist Medical Practitioner – Alcohol and Drug Service (ADS) – Permanent Full‑time Day Worker. Hours up to 76 per fortnight. Location: Launceston, Tasmania. About the Service Alcohol and Drug Service North provides inpatient and outpatient support to individuals, families and friends facing alcohol and drug challenges. Responsibilities Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team and engage with key stakeholders to support the ongoing effectiveness and quality of the public and private sector Pharmacotherapy Program. Exercise a high degree of independent clinical judgement in the delivery of care and completion of core responsibilities. Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and a strong commitment to ethical practice in all aspects of your work. Eligibility Specialist or limited registration with the Medical Board of Australia in a relevant specialty. Details of Appointment Permanent full‑time, day worker; up to 76 hours per fortnight. Compensation and Benefits Salary: AUD 222,789 – 319,701 per annum plus 12% superannuation. Fully maintained vehicle or motor vehicle allowance (AUD 28,786 per annum). Travel and relocation assistance up to AUD 15,000 for overseas candidates and up to AUD 10,000 for interstate candidates. CPD allowance (AUD 17,483 per annum). Private Practice Scheme (35%) or allowance in lieu. Salary packaging options: AUD 9,010 for living expenses, AUD 2,650 for meals and entertainment. Fitness Passport – access to 40+ fitness centres across Tasmania from AUD 14.50 per week. Additional Notes Access to the Senior Specialist Medical Practitioner salary range AUD 309,222 – 319,701 is subject to satisfying the criteria for Senior Specialist Medical Practitioner Levels 1, 2 or 3 as outlined in the Medical Practitioners (Tasmanian State Service) Award and in accordance with the Medical Practitioners Agreement 2025. #J-18808-Ljbffr
