Mō tēnei mahi | About this job The role of akaiako is to teach tauira the Work Readiness Building and Construction TrainingScheme (level 2). Teaching involves but is not limited to developing lessonplans, presenting learning materials to tauira, responding to tauira learningneeds, and evaluating tauira progress. Role : Fixed Term– Full Time Duration : Until December 2026 Location : Whakatane Hours : 37.5 per week Days : Monday – Sunday Salary : $66,997 - $83,747 pro rata Your key focusareas will include: Recruit tauira in association with communitynetworks. Market TWoA and the programme by providing andpresenting programme inform. Develop and implement assessment delivery plans. Be fully prepared for each lesson/session andlesson plans have been developed in advance of lesson delivery. Ensure moderation information is provided toManager Educational Delivery and/or Akoranga as requested. Provide individual instructions to individualsor small groups of tauira to improve academic performance Certificate Level 3 or higher qualification incarpentry (or equivalent) Level 5 teaching qualification (preferably AdultOR Secondary Education) National Certificate in Adult Literacy andNumeracy Level 5 (NCALNE-Voc) OR completed within 1 year of starting work Current and clean full driver’s licence ANDPassenger Endorsement A minimum of 2 year’s experience in carpentry A minimum of 2 year’s experience in teachingRangatahi (15-17yo) Kua whati te tai,tono mai! | Apply today!
