Travel NZ and get paid to lead unforgettable adventures, guide international travellers across Aotearoa, and explore NZ’s best hidden spots from Auckland to Bluff. Enjoying a sunrise coffee beside an alpine lake, soaking in a natural hot spring surrounded by native woodland, hearing native birdsong in the middle of the bush, and catching a sunset over the mountains or next to a campfire on the beach are just a few of the experiences you’ll share with a bus full of friends from all over the world. You’ll be their guide and paid to do this every day. What the role looks like Driving multi‑day tours across both islands Leads groups of international travellers Shares stories, local knowledge and makes recommendations Checks people into their accommodation and activities Keeps things organised and remains calm and decisive when plans change Ensures everyone feels safe, included and supported Brings energy and enthusiasm to the trip every day You’ll fit in well if you are Naturally good with people A confident and empathetic speaker Easy‑going but organised Calm under pressure Adaptable and able to think on your feet Genuinely passionate about Aotearoa and sharing it with others You’ll need A New Zealand Class 2 licence with a P endorsement (both small and large) or willingness to obtain them A current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain one) The flexibility to spend up to 29 days on tour at a time, including weekends and public holidays The right to work in New Zealand What we offer Competitive pay and commission Full training and support Scheduled time off between tours A supportive team that genuinely cares about what they do The chance to travel all over Aotearoa as part of your job Opportunities to support community and conservation partners Familiarisation trips and experiences across the country A job that feels like an adventure, where every trip brings something new We are passionate about New Zealand, and it matters to us that we show off our country with enthusiasm, respect and genuine care for the people, places and cultures that make it so special.
