We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Hydraulic Modeller with 3 to 10 years of relevant experience to join us and be part of a successful and growing Water Engineering team. Qualifications BSc or BE qualification 3 to 10 years’ relevant experience Experience with TUFLOW and/or Infoworks ICM, and QGIS Understanding of stormwater catchment planning Strong interpersonal skills, able to collaborate with clients to develop engineering solutions to flooding issues, using sound judgement and experience Experience preparing project proposals Self‑motivated, excellent verbal and written communication, eye for detail, and proficiency with Microsoft Suites and artificial intelligence tools What you will do Undertake analysis and design for various projects Develop computational hydraulic models (1D and 2D) for fluvial and urban engineering applications Undertake flood hazard mapping and prepare flood risk assessments to identify and understand catchment flooding issues Perform hydrological analysis and data analysis Drive high‑quality engineering design and flood modelling analysis outputs Comply with Tonkin + Taylor Quality Assurance and Health and Safety policy requirements Collaborate with a variety of professional experts on large‑scale alliance and community‑focused projects Work in a highly supportive team environment that encourages career development Receive professional membership and continued education support Participate in a flexible working culture, including part‑time options and formal flexible arrangements Engage in internal training and mentoring programmes We embrace flexible working at Tonkin + Taylor and aim to work in a way that serves the needs of our people, clients and communities.
