Learning and Programme Delivery Assistant The Learning and Programme Delivery Assistant plays a critical role in the Arts, Culture, and Lifelong Learning (ACLL) Team, ensuring that our library programmes and experiences meet the needs of our communities. You will be working with the ACLL whānau who are committed to serving Selwyn communities and making a difference across its Selwyn Libraries network. Our team have diverse backgrounds and bring themselves, their interests, and passion to their mahi. You will be responsible for taking the Edge Connector Vehicle outreach service to rural communities and delivering frontline services to Te Ara Ātea and Darfield Library & Service Centre. This role involves a mix of library programme coordination, resourcing, and promotion, programme delivery for all ages, and customer service. With our team you'll have the opportunity to help deliver one of the most dynamic public library services in Aotearoa alongside a team of talented professionals who are passionate about what they do. We support and encourage training and development for all of our staff. This role is Tuesday to Saturday with approx. 20 hours per week in the Edge Connector vehicle, Saturday's at Te Ara Ātea and the remaining hours (totalling 40) at Darfield Library & Service Centre. While your home base will be as stated above, you will be required from time to time to work from other facilities across the district - Te Ara Ātea, Lincoln Library and Service Centre, Leeston Library & Service Centre, and Darfield Library & Service Centre. About you The ideal candidate will have strong customer service experience, excellent communication skills, a positive can-do approach, a good understanding of Te Ao Māori and a demonstrated commitment to upholding Te Tiriti o Waitangi. Minimum of three years in the GLAM (Galleries, Library, Archive, Museum) sector, customer service or learning environment High level of digital literacy Programme, training or other similar delivery Knowledge of education library resources and information retrieval Ability to relate well to people of all age groups and learning abilities, including understanding and adapting to individual learning styles Strong customer service focus with high quality skills First Aid Certificate A full New Zealand driver's licence (unrestricted private motor vehicle) and be a confident driver Tertiary qualification level 5 and above Not sure if you tick every box?
