About the Role At Kip McGrath Whanganui we focus on teaching. In a small group of up to 5-6 students, you will teach literacy and numeracy, help children build confidence and achieve their goals. Responsibilities Teach students using the Kip McGrath methodology Tutor students in a positive, caring manner to promote self‑esteem and self‑worth Learn and use state‑of‑the‑art software to plan and conduct face‑to‑face lessons, reducing preparation time Commit to all scheduled lessons Build and maintain positive relationships with students and parents using strong rapport‑building skills Keep accurate online records of student progress and goals each week Provide verbal and written feedback to parents Work up to 2-3 sessions a day, Monday to Thursday Qualifications A teaching degree or final year of a teaching degree Current clearance to work with children Friendly, professional, personable manner Strong teamwork and independent working skills Positive, vibrant personality Confidence using software and computers Genuine love for learning and teaching High attention to detail and strong organisational skills Willingness to teach both face‑to‑face in the centre and online How to Apply Complete the work history and education information on our application page.
