What you’ll do | Hei mahi You will build, design, and deploy high‑quality, scalable solutions that solve concrete, real‑world problems. The code you write won’t just sit in a repository—you will be able to walk into a store and physically observe the impact of your work helping New Zealanders every day. We operate in a highly collaborative, hybrid environment where you’ll work closely with testers, product owners, and business analysts across the entire development lifecycle. You will also help support our systems in production by participating in our on‑call roster. What you’ll bring | Hei koha You are a strong collaborator who communicates effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders. The Microsoft Tech Stack: Deep knowledge of C#.NET and SQL. Modern Deployment: CI/CD tools, specifically Azure DevOps. Architecture & Design: Practical exposure to microservice architecture. Ways of Working: Experience working within agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban. Quality & Observability: A solid understanding of non‑functional requirements (performance, accessibility, code coverage, shift‑left testing) and observability tools like Dynatrace or App Insights. You will also have exposure to, or a strong desire to learn and work with: Modern frontend frameworks like React or Angular. API design using both RESTful and GraphQL. Containerisation with Kubernetes. Entity Framework, design patterns and principles (SOLID, DDD, CQRS).
