Job Description

We are looking for a mental health clinician to provide counseling services through the TELUS Health Employee Assistance Program (EAP). The EAP provides short‑term counselling face‑to‑face and online via telephone and video sessions. Qualifications Qualifications in Counseling or Psychology; Professional registration with relevant body (NZAC or NZCCA for Counsellors, NZPB for Psychologists, SWRB for Social Workers). 3-5 years of relevant counselling experience. Ability to clinically manage client risk and work within a short‑term counselling framework. Confidence with computer systems (asset). Core Responsibilities Provide confidential counselling services to employees with personal or work‑related challenges. Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and offer short‑term counseling or crisis intervention. Refer clients to external resources or specialists for long‑term support when needed. Collaborate with other professionals to support employee well‑being. Maintain accurate records of counselling sessions while ensuring client confidentiality. Stay updated on laws, regulations, and best practices in counseling and mental health support. Provide consultation to managers and supervisors on handling employee‑related issues sensitively and effectively.
