Team Members - Meat Processing

Our Silver Fern Farms Finegand Processing Site in Balclutha employs 1200+ Team Members at the height of the season. Location: 30 minutes south of Milton, one hour east of Gore, and one hour south of Dunedin, with buses available from Dunedin to Finegand (Balclutha) for most shifts. Working Arrangements Complete your on‑the‑job training and earn a minimum of $28.82 per hour plus extras. Usually 40 hours per week during peak production season, plus overtime opportunities. Minimum $43 per hour for production overtime. 8‑hour shifts; day shift hours 6:00 am to 4:00 pm, evening shift hours 4:00 pm to 1:00 am. All work clothing and safety gear are provided. Job Requirements No experience required – we provide all necessary training. Must be an active team member who can work closely with others and bring a positive, hardworking attitude. Must be able to understand and follow health and safety, quality, and technical compliance requirements. Eligible to work in New Zealand. Must be 18 years or older. Must pass pre‑employment medical checks, criminal convictions check, and physical fitness requirements. Pre‑employment drug screening is mandatory.
