Calf Rearer - Exeter Facility

Opportunity Join Exeter as a Calf Rearer to assist our team at our purpose‑built calf rearing facility for the Autumn and Spring. This fixed‑term position runs from now until mid‑December 2026. During the calving season (ending mid‑December) your day‑to‑day activities may include feeding calves, general animal hygiene, picking up calves, administering animal health treatments and processing calves through the cattle yards. The role can be physically demanding; stamina, fitness and ability to lift 20kg are required. No on‑site accommodation – reliable transport is essential. Flexible hours within rostered days can be discussed. About The Farm Exeter Calf Rearing is located 15 minutes from Taupō. The purpose‑built shed can hold up to 660 calves at a time and is designed to accommodate 2,400 calves this autumn and 3,600 in spring. The site covers 130 effective hectares and features brand‑new infrastructure. Responsibilities Feed calves. Maintain general animal hygiene. Pick up calves. Administer animal health treatments. Process calves through the cattle yards. Qualifications Exceptional attitude to health, safety and animal welfare. Good eye for detail and willingness to learn. Ability to work unsupervised.
