Assistant Financial Accountant

Overview An exciting opportunity to join the NZWM Finance team based in our Auckland office and reporting to the Finance Manager. This role is part of a professional team in a collaborative and supportive work environment where people are passionate about the work they do. Responsibilities Perform month-end related processes including journal preparation and general ledger reconciliation. Liaise with auditors and support year-end reporting including the preparation of Financial Statements. Assist with processing of manual banking. Support system and process improvements. Qualifications A Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent experience. 1 to 3 years of experience in a similar role. Excellent time management and attention to detail. Promoting and improving accounting, financial and operational efficiencies. A positive, collaborative team player who enjoys building effective working relationships.
