Clinical Nurse Manager - Acute Assessment Unit

Role Overview Clinical Nurse Manager - Hawkes Bay Fallen Soldiers Memorial Hospital. Permanent, full time, 80 hours per fortnight (1FTE). About the Role Provide operational and clinical leadership across the Acute Assessment Unit, Medical Day Unit, and IV Therapy Service. Ensure safe, efficient, high‑quality care delivery while leading a large nursing team and managing resources within a complex, dynamic environment. Oversee patient flow, workforce planning, and service performance. Drive continuous improvement and lead change initiatives. Work closely with multidisciplinary teams and senior leaders to meet quality standards and performance targets. Qualifications Current NZ Nursing Council registration with a valid practising certificate. Extensive clinical experience (6‑8+ years) and proven leadership capability. Strong people management, workforce planning, and service delivery skills. Ability to lead in a fast‑paced, complex environment with competing priorities. Commitment to TeTiriti o Waitangi and improving equitable health outcomes. Location & Team The Acute Assessment Unit and associated services are central to hospital patient flow, supporting timely assessment, treatment, and discharge.
