Nurse Specialist - Paediatric Cardiac and Congenital Service (PCCS)

About the Role Based in central Auckland, the Paediatric Cardiac and Congenital Service is the only provider of cardiology and cardiac surgical services for infants, children, young people and adults with congenital and acquired heart disease across New Zealand. The service also delivers care to patients across the Pacific Basin. We are seeking an innovative, enthusiastic and experienced nurse to join our team as a Nurse Specialist Surgical. Responsibilities As a nurse specialist within the PCCS team you will provide specialist nursing advice, care and expertise, both in direct patient care and in support of other staff caring for patients across the service. You will explore senior clinical practice, ensure high standards of teamwork, and apply your specialist knowledge to support patient outcomes. Qualifications Paediatric or Adult Cardiology registered nurse with 5 years experience Eligible for registration with the NZ Nursing Council, or pursuing registration Postgraduate diploma or master’s qualification, or working towards one Proficient or expert level in Professional Development Recognition Programme (PDRP) portfolio or equivalent Ability to play a strategic role within the service to ensure service and organisational objectives are met Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills with the ability to work in a bi‑cultural environment Experience in a leadership role with a strong commitment to quality healthcare Contact For more information about this role please contact Lianne McCarthy (Nurse Unit Manager) via [email protected] . #J-18808-Ljbffr
