Job Description
Responsibilities Maintain and repair electrical equipment used by the Army. Fix power generation, reticulation, and refrigeration systems. Complete safety inspections for all operational Army electrical equipment. Provide electrical safety education and technical guidance to the command chain on camp. Provide maintenance support to units during field exercises. Provide logistics and maintenance support to units in deployed operations. Maintain operational security and assist with humanitarian relief operations. Qualifications Must be 18 years old by the time you graduate from recruit course. Must be medically and physically fit for military duties worldwide. Training & Career Path Four‑year apprenticeship to NZQA Level 4 Certificate in Electrical Engineering Theory and Practice (Trade). Option to work toward a New Zealand Certificate in Electrical Engineering. After training, required to give a two‑year return of service to the NZ Army.
