Job Description We are looking for an experienced Solution Architect to help shape and deliver modern, cloud‑first solutions across the Ministry's Shared Services portfolio. You'll design and guide solutions that support corporate and back‑office services, working closely with delivery teams, suppliers, and stakeholders. Lead solution design across Shared Services domains Translate business needs into scalable architectures Drive cloud and SaaS adoption Guide legacy‑to‑cloud migration approaches Assure supplier architecture deliverables meet Ministry standards and quality expectations Align solutions with enterprise standards Mentor teams and provide technical leadership This role offers the opportunity to grow toward portfolio and enterprise architecture pathways, with exposure to complex, organisation‑wide transformation. Ō Pūkenga/Skills And Experience Proven Solution Architect experience in complex environments (not a first‑time SA role) Comfortable operating independently across design & delivery Strong Public Cloud expertise (Azure, M365, AWS) Experience delivering legacy to cloud transformations Experience managing and assuring supplier outputs Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills Mō Mātou/About Us At Te Tāhū o te Ture – the Ministry of Justice, we are committed to strengthening trust in the law of Aotearoa New Zealand. Utu ā-tau/Salary The appointing salary for this role is $118,904 to $163,344, while the appointing salary will be based on skills and experience.
