As part of that growth, they’re looking for an experienced and motivated Diesel Mechanic to join their team in Christchurch. Key responsibilities Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults across heavy construction equipment Perform routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs on diesel engines and associated systems Inspect, test, and assess machinery to identify issues and ensure reliable performance Use diagnostic software and tools to determine equipment conditions Carry out repairs on hydraulic systems, transmissions, and fuel injection components Maintain accurate service documentation and reports Follow all safety procedures and comply with industry standards Work closely with team members to meet equipment availability targets Provide advice on repairs and preventative maintenance planning What we're looking for Preference will be given to Diesel Mechanics with hands‑on experience in construction or earthmoving equipment, although candidates with mining or forestry backgrounds will also be considered.
