Kaituitui Whakapāho Tauhokohoko | Communications Coordinator We are seeking a Kaituitui Whakapāho Tauhokohoko | Communications Coordinator in Te Whanganui-a-Tara (Wellington). Permanent Full-time Based in Te Wanganui-a-Tara | Wellington 5 weeks annual leave So that the foundations of ancestral lands may be solid, benefitting Māori from our past, present and future alike. This is Te Tumu Paeroa, guardian, support and advancer of the mana of Māori land everywhere. Our role is to provide professional trustee services for Māori. We do this by carrying out the terms of trusts and ensuring the whenua is protected and enhanced for future generations. He angitūtanga: About the Role: We’re looking for a Kaituitui Whakapāho Tauhokohoko | Communications Coordinator to be part of the Ratonga Whakapāho | Communications Team developing and delivering clear and effective communication activities that inspire and engage our audiences across multiple communication channels. We’re a small team so you’ll be able to make the role your own whilst learning from your highly experienced teammates. The main responsibilities for this role include: Create and implement high quality internal communications by taking a partnership approach to working with kaimahi across the organisation. Support the Communications Team to develop and deliver communications plans that engage our audiences across a range of channels and content type. Actively champion our brand when representing Te Tumu Paeroa at events. Manage our relationships with key suppliers, including our external printing and merchandise partners. Support the Communications Manager with administrative requirements, including managing the Communications Inbox. He kōrero mou: What we are looking for: Experience developing communications material for a range of channels. Strong digital media skills across website and social media is an advantage. Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent time management and organisation skills, including the proven ability to prioritise and manage a busy workload. A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Experience with SharePoint and/or Microsoft 365 is a plus. Experience with design and use of new digital technologies, including AI, would be advantageous. Eligibility to work in New Zealand is essential. Pae Tahi- Te Whakahua | A desire and ability to practise correct pronunciation of Te Reo Māori (essential). Pae Tahi- Nō Ia Rā | An understanding and living of Tikanga Māori on a day-to-day level, for example, the removing of shoes before entering a whare, washing hands at the urupa and not sitting on tables (essential).
