Machine Operator – Afternoon Shift | Permanent, Full-Time Monday–Friday | 12:00 PM – 10:00 PM Competitive Pay | Stable, Long-Term Opportunity About the Role Ready to step into a hands‑on role where your skills keep production moving? We’re on the lookout for a reliable and proactive Machine Operator to join a busy operation in Takanini, Auckland. This is a full‑time, permanent position working with specialised machinery in the paper processing and finishing industry. If you enjoy working with equipment, staying active, and being part of a tight‑knit production team — this could be the role for you. You’ll take ownership of key machines on the production line, ensuring smooth operation, quality output, and efficient workflow from start to finish. What You’ll Be Doing Operating slitter machines, guillotines, and paper-processing equipment Setting up machinery for production runs with accuracy and care Performing routine machine checks, cleaning, and basic maintenance Monitoring output and completing runs to meet daily targets Wrapping, stacking, and preparing finished products for dispatch Supporting warehouse operations, including forklift/reach truck use (if licensed) Carrying out quality checks to maintain high standards Safely lifting materials (up to 20kg) for loading/unloading What You’ll Bring Experience operating industrial or production machinery A strong focus on safety, quality, and following processes Physical fitness for regular lifting and active work Good communication skills and a team‑oriented mindset Attention to detail and pride in your work Ability to pass a pre‑employment drug test Bonus Points For Current Reach Truck licence/experience Background in manufacturing, factory, or processing environments Mechanically minded with a positive, can‑do attitude About the Company Join a well‑established manufacturing and distribution business with operations across Auckland, Wellington, and Christchurch, they’re known for their quality products, strong systems, and supportive team culture. #J-18808-Ljbffr
