About the Role This role exists to provide support to the wards to assist them in providing an effective service for patients and their families on a casual basis. About the Team/Service/Location Health NZ, Tairawhiti is a secondary care facility situated on the East Coast, comprising of urban and rural communities covering a large area, and serves a population of approximately 45,000. Gisbornes relative isolation is its charm; however larger cities are only a quick flight away. The Hospital is located within a 5 minute drive of the town centre on the fringe of Gisborne City. We provide a comprehensive range of services in our 110 bed hospital, which includes: Neonatal ICU/CCU Medical/Surgical Orthopaedic/Rehabilitation Paediatrics Midwifery Renal Services Mental Health Emergency Theatre About you The ideal candidate will have: Previous experience working in a care environment and NZQA Level 3 care qualification Sound oral and written communication skills An understanding and respect for patient confidentiality is essential Working at Health New Zealand Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
