Job Description

This opportunity sits within a well-established engineering business delivering fabrication, installation, and servicing work across heavy industry and infrastructure projects. The work is practical and varied, often running from workshop-based work through to installation and testing on client sites. The Role You’ll join a small, highly skilled team of five tradespeople – one electrician and four mechanical fitters – working across industrial equipment and engineering projects. Your work will focus on industrial electrical systems and plant, including: Working with electromechanical equipment, including motors, VSDs, gantry/overhead cranes, conveyors and automated machinery Electrical maintenance, installation, and servicing work Fault finding and troubleshooting on industrial systems Electrical work associated with plant upgrades and servicing Working closely with a team of fitters, including mechanical tasks This is a practical role suited to an electrician who enjoys hands‑on work and being involved in mechanical systems as well as electrical. Travel Site travel is required, typically overnight travel around once per week, depending on project schedules. Ideal Experience NZ Electrical Registration and a current practising license. Hands‑on experience with electromechanical and mechanical components (happy to swing spanners, not just screwdrivers). Strong fault‑finding and diagnostic skills Comfortable working alongside mechanical trades teams A practical, problem‑solving approach Willingness for frequent travel and support site work What’s in It for You?
