Job Description

Overview Setting the path of wellness in our communities for the early years, for generations to come. Key Responsibilities Provide non‑clinical support to parents and caregivers of new babies, helping them manage challenges and decisions. Work collaboratively with Plunket Nurses, Kaiāwhina and other services to deliver wrap‑around support. Organise and conduct clinics or community events on Saturdays as required. Communicate clearly, empathetically and reassuringly with whānau. Work independently while collaborating within a team environment. Qualifications and Requirements Strong communication, empathy and reassurance skills. Passion for working with tamariki and their caregivers. Understanding and commitment to the Treaty of Waitangi and its application in front‑line roles. Hold a clean driver’s licence. Experience level will determine pay within the range provided. Pay and Benefits Pay rates for Karitāne are between $57,405 ($29.05 per hour) and $65,847 ($33.32 per hour) depending on experience.
