The role We have an exciting opportunity based in Sydney for a passionate Health and Safety Consultant who thrives on autonomy, continuous learning, and making a genuine impact. The position offers the opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of well-known clients. Ideally, we are looking for someone with previous Health & Safety consulting experience who is confident consulting with a range of clients across different industries. You'll be comfortable managing your own portfolio, building strong client relationships, and providing practical, risk-based health and safety advice tailored to each organisation's needs. What You'll Do Foster trusted client partnerships, delivering expert EHS advice that empowers organisations to meet and demonstrate compliance with health, safety, and hazardous substances regulations. Lead the design, implementation, and auditing of Health and Safety Management Systems (H&SMS). Perform conformity and risk assessments while developing practical H&S strategies that improve client performance. Drive seamless project delivery; on scope, on budget, on time to elevate capability, quality, and consistency. What You'll Bring A bachelor’s degree in health and safety or equivalent (NEBOSH). A detailed knowledge of ergonomics, or a certificate or diploma in Health Science (Human factors and ergonomics) or equivalent. Ideally some experience in the application and auditing of ISO management system and risk management standards (e.g. ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018 or ISO 31000:2018). Ideally, 5 years' experience working in a client-facing consulting environment, providing Environmental, Health and Safety advice along with guidance to clients on conformity assessments and auditing. Strong knowledge of relevant legislation related to H&S, with experience in interpreting and applying legislation. Previous experience working in a client-facing consulting environment, providing Environmental, Health and Safety advice along with guidance to clients. Experience in risk assessment and risk management. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
