Job Description

The Role The Development Platform Engineer is responsible for working closely with engineering teams to design, build, and evolve the Internal Development Platform for Seequent. This platform is critical for Seequent to thrive as an agile company that can release its market-leading set of Evo applications and services quickly and confidently. This position leverages modern cloud and container technologies, including Docker, Kubernetes, and Google Cloud, to create scalable, reliable, and reusable platform capabilities. The platform serves as an enabler for development teams, allowing them to focus on delivering business value rather than managing underlying infrastructure. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Build and enhance an Internal Development Platform that simplifies infrastructure complexity, enabling developers to deploy services with ease and speed. Implement key additions and solutions to the platform utilizing the latest cloud technologies. Establish and champion the use of extensible, reusable platform patterns, processes, and toolsets to empower teams and minimize manual operations. Incorporate and promote the use of AI tools and models to drive productivity and enhance the Internal Development Platform. Collaborate with key stakeholders from Evo Development, Security, and Architecture to define and select features for the Internal Development Platform. Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Experience A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in build or infrastructure engineering roles. Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or GitLab. Hands‑on experience with tools like Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform. Experience working with major cloud providers such as Google Cloud Platform, Azure, and AWS. Assets A strong desire to learn new cloud‑based technologies. The ability to confidently discuss technical details with peers and senior colleagues. Excellent interpersonal skills to build and maintain sustainable working relationships. The ability to be persistent, patient, and innovative in a fast‑paced, constantly changing environment. Absolute discretion when handling confidential and sensitive information.
