If that sounds like you, you’ll feel right at home with us. We have an exciting opportunity at our Royal Oak SPCA Op Shop for a Casual Op Shop Assistant to work as and when required. Our Flagship Op Shop in the Royal Oak Mall is known for its friendly volunteer team, quality second‑hand finds, and strong support from the local community. Whether you're working the shop floor, processing donations, or chatting with customers, you'll be making a difference every day. Key Responsibilities Receive, sort, price, and merchandise donated goods in line with SPCA guidelines. Ensure the shop is clean, welcoming, and well‑stocked throughout the day. Serve customers with warmth and professionalism, promoting positive donor and shopper experiences. Accurately process sales and cash handling, including end‑of‑day reconciliation. Provide cover and basic team supervision in the manager’s absence. Help support and guide volunteers in their roles. Ensure health & safety and SPCA procedures are followed. About You You're a team player with a passion for great service and a knack for retail. Whether it's pricing donated goods, helping customers, or supporting volunteers, you enjoy pitching in wherever needed to keep things running smoothly. Skills & Experience Retail or customer service experience (charity retail a bonus). Able to work flexibly across the shop floor, till, and sorting area. Confident communicator who enjoys helping others. Reliable, organised, and proactive with good attention to detail. Comfortable working in a team and independently.
