Casual Teacher Aide | Golden Bay

We are looking for an enthusiastic and caring casual Teacher Aide who has a genuine passion for working with young children. Our ideal applicant will relate well to tamariki and whānau, enjoy being part of a team, and like working in a supportive, collaborative environment. An understanding of Te Whāriki and a willingness to be part of a bicultural learning environment is important to us. As a casual Teacher Aide, you will work alongside our teaching teams to: Support the supervision and care of tamariki throughout the day Assist with the teaching and learning programme Encourage and support children’s play and learning experiences Help with tidy‑up and general day‑to‑day tasks within the kindergarten Provide cover for breaks and non‑contact/release time for teaching staff Confidence in te reo Māori would be an advantage. This is a casual position requiring the person to step in as needed, it may result in fixed term teacher aide opportunities.
