Winkee Homes is an Auckland-based construction company specialising in new home construction, home renovations, roof replacement, roof repairs, and roof maintenance services. We are committed to delivering high-quality workmanship and reliable roofing solutions for both residential and commercial clients. Due to continued business growth, we are seeking to recruit one full-time Roofer to join our professional team. Employment Type: Permanent Full-Time Location: Auckland Pay: Hourly $30 - 32 Number of Vacancy: 1 Key Responsibilities Interpret building plans, specifications, and site requirements to determine roofing materials and installation methods. Set up and work safely on ladders, scaffolding, and elevated work platforms. Install roofing underlay, waterproof membranes, and protective barriers to ensure weatherproof roofing systems. Lay, align, and secure roof tiles in accordance with project specifications and industry standards. Measure, cut, and shape roofing materials to fit around roof penetrations, chimneys, vents, valleys, ridges, and other roof features. Install and secure ridge, hip, and edge tiles using appropriate fixing methods and mortar where required. Fit flashing systems and waterproofing components to prevent water ingress and ensure long-term roof performance. Seal and finish roofing installations, including waterproofing exposed fixings and joints. Inspect completed work to ensure quality workmanship, structural integrity, and compliance with relevant building standards. Maintain a safe and tidy work environment and comply with all workplace health and safety requirements. Work across residential and commercial construction sites throughout the Auckland region. Skills and Experience At least three years of relevant work experience in roof tiling or relevant field. A relevant NZQF Level 4 qualification may substitute for the required work experience. Ability to read and interpret plans and technical drawings. Knowledge of roofing materials, waterproofing systems, and flashing installation. Ability to work at heights and perform physically demanding tasks. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Good understanding of workplace health and safety practices.
