English Teacher

Secondary (Years 7–15) / wharekura, Certificated teacher English Aorere College is looking to appoint an innovative and passionate English teacher. A commitment to raising Māori and Pasefika achievement and restorative practices is essential. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a collaborative, well-resourced secondary school. Commencement start date of this position is to be negotiated. Aorere College is a large multicultural school based in South Auckland. Applicants should have the belief in the ability of young people, a commitment to biculturalism, and embrace a student-centred philosophy of teaching. You will be expected to demonstrate culturally responsive practice and participate in the extra curricula life of school. The terms and conditions, including base salary, for this position is set by the Secondary Teachers' Collective Agreement. The base salary for trained and registered teachers will range from $61,329 to $103,086 depending on the applicant's qualifications and experience.
