Job Description

As Senior Technical Project Manager, you’ll take ownership of complex projects from pre-construction through delivery, ensuring financial success, client satisfaction, and alignment with the Unispace methodology. You are here to bridge design, delivery, and client relations—leading with technical expertise, commercial awareness, and a focus on quality and safety. Your work strengthens client trust, drives repeat business, and contributes to Unispace’s reputation for excellence in workplace design and delivery. What you’re responsible for: Lead multiple projects of varying size, value, and complexity, ensuring effective pre‑construction planning through to project commencement. Develop project cost plans, budgets, and forecasts in partnership with Managing Directors, Global Delivery Directors, and Principals. Manage subcontractor negotiation, procurement, and selection, ensuring quality and cost alignment. Oversee estimating, budget production, and financial management to ensure projects meet profitability targets. Collaborate across disciplines—Strategy, Client Relations, Business Development, Design, Marketing, and Delivery—to achieve seamless integration. Lead and develop high-performing teams, fostering collaboration, innovation, and alignment with Unispace values. Manage client and stakeholder communication throughout pre‑construction, ensuring expectations are clear and satisfaction targets are met. Implement best practices, processes, and standards in pre‑construction to enhance efficiency, capability, and quality. Control documentation quality, manage schedules, and ensure compliance with health and safety standards. Contribute to corporate responsibility initiatives and represent Unispace at industry events when required. How we’ll measure it: Projects delivered on time, within budget, and meeting or exceeding net profit targets. Effective negotiation of subcontractor terms and management of project cash flow. High client satisfaction scores and evidence of repeat business. Accuracy and timeliness of project reporting, financial forecasting, and risk management. Effective collaboration across disciplines, regions, and teams with measurable impact on project outcomes. Demonstrated adherence to health and safety standards and risk mitigation practices. Clear evidence of innovation, knowledge sharing, and contribution to continuous improvement. Your experience & skills: Proven track record delivering commercial interior office fitouts or complex design & build projects. Strong knowledge of building codes, health & safety standards, procurement methods, and construction processes. Skilled in estimating, budgeting, forecasting, and proficient with estimating software and financial management platforms. Experience leading multiple pre‑construction teams concurrently, including pitches and project procurement. Strong negotiation skills with subcontractors and suppliers. Excellent communication and client‑facing skills, with the ability to influence and build strong relationships. Demonstrated success developing and leading high‑performing teams. Strong problem‑solving, time management, and organizational agility. Health & Safety qualification and relevant technical certification(s). Commercial awareness and the ability to align project delivery to business goals. Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related discipline preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr
