Job Description
Ward B6, Waipapa Hospital, Christchurch – Permanent positions available, 0.6 to 0.9 FTE to be discussed at interview. Shifts: Monday to Sunday, Morning, Afternoon and Night. About the Role We are a well‑established collaborative team who work and play hard. We deliver high standards of nursing care to the patients and families admitted to the ward. About the Service The Bone Marrow Transplant Unit is where patients receive specialised treatment for malignant and non‑malignant haematological disorders, treating patients from throughout the South Island. We are the treatment centre for patients having autologous and allogeneic transplants in the South Island. About You 3+ years nursing experience Ability to work all shifts – Morning, Afternoon and Night Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills and ability to build effective relationships with a strong patient focus Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team Registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand with a current Annual Practising Certificate (APC) Additional Information Previous haematology experience is desirable; however orientation will be provided to the successful candidate. This is an ideal opportunity to develop specialised skills and gain valuable experience in CVAD management and cannulation, the administration of blood products and chemotherapy.
