Job Description
An exciting opportunity is available to support a disabled young woman who has recently left school and is beginning the next chapter of adulthood and independence. This is a role for someone who enjoys being active, adaptable, playful, and genuinely connected with the people they support. No two days are the same — one day might involve music therapy or horse riding, another could be dancing in the lounge, a supermarket mission, or a trip to visit Grandma. Music is a huge part of her world. She loves singing, dancing, and bringing energy and fun into her day, so you’ll need to be comfortable joining in (enthusiasm matters, singing ability doesn’t). She communicates using both her own communication style and a communication device. She knows what she wants and responds best to people who are calm, kind, clear, and consistent. Building trust and understanding is a big part of this role. We are looking for someone confident, patient, and emotionally steady. Experience supporting disabled people or people with complex support needs would be amazing, but we are also open to people with the right attitude, maturity, and willingness to learn. The hours are flexible and can work around the right person’s schedule. Shifts are usually 3– 4 hours long. You will need: Your own reliable vehicle Confidence working independently This is a chance to become an important part of someone’s world while helping them build a life that feels full, connected, and genuinely their own. #J-18808-Ljbffr
