About the Role We are seeking a dynamic and results‑driven Business Development Manager to lead our Groups, Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions business and to drive growth and expand our market presence. The role is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and developing strategic partnerships that align with the company’s long‑term objectives. The ideal candidate will bring strong commercial acumen, exceptional communication skills, and a proven ability to convert opportunities into tangible results. Responsibilities Achieve established monthly personal plan targets set in conjunction with the sales and revenue teams. Conduct market research to identify trends, competitive landscape, and potential areas for growth specific to the region and property. Develop strategic sales plans to grow market share and maximize opportunities in the MICE segment. Grow the conference & events portfolio through proactive sales, cold calling, networking, and attending industry events. Act as a true 5‑star sales lead generator for the hotel sales team, ensuring a positive and effective Park Hyatt Auckland brand ambassador role to both internal and external clients. Build, develop and maintain relationships with the current client base. Qualifications Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a sales team. Proven experience in achieving sales targets, acquiring and retaining business, preferably within a hotel environment. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Exceptional time management skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines. Results‑focused with a proven ability to achieve sales targets.
