Barista in the Air New Zealand Christchurch Lounge is responsible for owning the coffee bar operations and delivering outstanding service to guests. You will play a key role in creating a premium lounge experience through exceptional coffee craftsmanship, warm hospitality, and consistent service standards that reflect the Air New Zealand brand. This is a casual position with hours as required; you must be available weekends. Prepare and serve high‑quality espresso coffee, including grinding, extraction, milk texturing, and presentation. Manage daily coffee bar operations including setup, service, stock control, and closing procedures. Deliver exceptional, personalised customer service and create memorable guest experiences. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across the coffee bar and surrounding areas in line with food safety standards. Work collaboratively with the lounge team to uphold service standards and support overall lounge operations. Have experience as a barista or in a similar hospitality role, with strong coffee‑making skills. Be a friendly, confident communicator who enjoys engaging with customers. Be able to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining quality and attention to detail. Be a reliable team player with a flexible and proactive attitude. Be committed to high presentation standards, safety, and delivering premium service experiences.
