Apply for Professor/Associate Professor – Occupational Therapy Full‑time, permanent, on‑site position at Auckland University of Technology (AUT) in Auckland, New Zealand. The role focuses on research leadership in Occupational Therapy, teaching, and community engagement. The Opportunity | Te Whiwhinga mahi We seek a senior occupational therapy academic to lead research, build capacity, mentor staff, and strengthen community connections. Responsibilities Lead and develop a dynamic research portfolio aligned with AUT’s aspirations. Build and sustain research capacity and high‑performing teams. Mentor staff and supervise postgraduate students. Foster collaborations with industry, government, and community partners. Advocate for quality and consistency in research and development. Potential expansion into Masters of Occupational Therapy research. Qualifications Qualification : PhD in occupational therapy; registration or eligibility with the Occupational Therapy Board of New Zealand; annual practising certificate or eligibility. Research and Scholarship : Extensive experience leading occupational therapy research, strong publication record in top‑tier journals, international research networks, experience securing external funding, editorial board membership or similar roles. Teaching and Learning : Substantial undergraduate and postgraduate teaching experience, course and assessment design, engagement with students, curriculum innovation, supervision of postgraduate research students. Citizenship and Service : Experience supporting indigenous, equity, or inclusion initiatives; academic leadership; engagement with industry, government, and community stakeholders to translate research; communication to non‑academic audiences.
