Job Description
Operations Specialist – Strategic Projects (12-Month Fixed Term) Location: North Wharf, New Zealand The Operations Specialist will support operational initiatives within Enterprise Operations, improving processes, implementing system changes, and ensuring outcomes are embedded into business‑as‑usual. Key Responsibilities Support the delivery of operational initiatives and change activity across Enterprise Operations. Co‑ordinate and track progress of projects, ensuring key milestones and outcomes are met. Partner with stakeholders to support process improvements, system changes, and implementation activities. Assist with high‑level and detailed business requirements. Assist with testing (UAT), rollout, and embedding of new or enhanced capabilities. Gather insights and use data to support decision‑making and track outcomes. Manage risks, ensuring strong controls and alignment with policy and regulatory requirements. Contribute ideas and continuous improvement opportunities to enhance customer and operational outcomes. Support effective communication and engagement across stakeholders. About You You are curious, proactive, and keen to grow your career in operations or project delivery. You enjoy working in a fast‑paced environment and collaborating to get things done. Essential Qualifications 2–5 years’ experience in operations, project coordination, or a similar environment. Exposure to banking, financial services, or product/process‑focused roles (highly advantageous). Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities. Proactive mindset with the confidence to take ownership and follow through on outcomes. Good problem‑solving skills and a willingness to learn and apply new approaches. Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills. Attention to detail and focus on quality and risk awareness. Interest in continuous improvement, change, or project delivery. Experience working with customer‑facing products such as cards or payment‑related processes will be highly regarded.
