Support delivery of a transformative regional transport project You are part of building something special at McConnell Dowell. 6% KiwiSaver employer contributions and medical insurance* About the Role Working under the direction of the Leading Hand, Foreperson, and other site supervisors, Construction Workers play a key role in the safe, efficient, and high‑quality delivery of infrastructure projects that help connect and strengthen communities. This is a hands‑on role requiring physical fitness, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to safety and teamwork. Responsibilities may include: Assisting with site establishment and compound setup Supporting earthworks, excavation, and civil construction activities Carting, handling, and placing materials Assisting with road construction and subgrade preparation Operating hand and power tools safely and effectively General labouring and construction support duties as required Maintaining a safe and tidy work environment About You Previous experience working on civil construction, infrastructure, or general construction projects. A strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards Physically fit and capable of performing manual labour in a variety of conditions Reliable, hardworking, and able to work effectively within a team Able to follow instructions and work to project schedules Relevant construction tickets, licences, or qualifications are advantageous Don’t Tick All the Boxes but Still Keen?
