Bombay Auckland Location/ Work close to home in a business that is both stable and growing We’re looking for an enthusiastic QA Manager to join our dynamic team at Real Pet Food Co’s busy Bombay Manufacturing site . This business‑critical role leads the improvement and management of site compliance, quality, and food safety standards. More importantly, you’ll drive a culture of quality by engaging all levels of the business on site , and we’re looking for a collaborative leader who thrives in a hands‑on environment. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager with a dotted line to the Head of Quality for ANZ, this is a standalone role (you manage the process but there are no other dedicated QA team‑members on site) and you will be part of a production team that is passionate about doing things well and working together to achieve our goals . No two days will be the same, but with an operations team that believes in working together, you will have the support you need to ensure our production is efficient, effective, and the quality of our product is second to none. Please note - Bombay is a ‘wet’ manufacturing site so you will need to be comfortable working in and around raw animal protein. Key Responsibilities Lead and implement Quality & Food Safety strategies that align with business goals . You understand how important it is to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders (Sales, Operations, and Brand Marketing), and you have the managerial courage to recommend and execute tactics and strategies that help the business thrive. Maintain and enhance QA systems, documentation, and GMP programs including NZMPI RMP and working towards SQF Drive continuous improvement across hygiene, sanitation, and compliance initiatives Champion safety and regulatory compliance, ensuring audit readiness (internal and external) and proactive improvement What you’ll bring Proven QA management experience in FMCG or food manufacturing Strong knowledge of Quality Systems, HACCP, and NZMPI RMP standards Experience leading audits, quality improvement, and change initiatives A leadership style that’s visible, collaborative, and people-focused Degree in Food Science, Food Technology or related discipline (Auditor qualifications highly regarded) Benefits We’re pioneering in a new area of pet food, always striving for fresher.
