Job Description The University of Auckland is New Zealand's leading university and a large employer. In the Scholarships Office we administer over $90 million in scholarships, prizes and awards each year, supporting students across faculties. Key responsibilities Assess scholarship applications and determine eligibility in accordance with regulations. Research applications and prepare recommendations for award decisions. Provide accurate, timely advice to students, staff and stakeholders on scholarships, prizes and awards. Manage scholarship application processes and maintain accurate student records. Support development and maintenance of online scholarship applications and systems. Build positive relationships with faculties, alumni relations, donors and funding organisations. Contribute to process improvements and ongoing development of scholarships office systems and procedures. Assist with training and support colleagues during peak scholarship periods. Qualifications and experience Experience in an administrative or advisory role, ideally within tertiary education. Excellent organisational, analytical, problem‑solving, customer‑service and relationship‑building skills. High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities. Confidence using Microsoft Office and student management systems. Additional beneficial experience includes: Experience with scholarship administration or student funding. Knowledge of university administrative processes. Experience using PeopleSoft or similar student management systems. Benefits Full‑time, 37.5‑hour per week, 18‑month fixed‑term contract. Salary range $63,600 – $68,100 per annum based on experience and qualifications. Flexible employment practices including working from home and flexible hours. Up to 6.75% company superannuation.
