Job Description

Gisborne Hospital permanent/part time position – 0.8 FTE (64 hours per fortnight). Overview As a Registered Nurse Outpatients you will play a vital role in providing support, delivering care and education to patients across the Tairawhiti region. This role provides the opportunity to work closely with a dedicated multidisciplinary team to assess, manage and support people covering a variety of conditions. You will work closely with both local and visiting Specialists attending the Outpatient Department. Team and Service OUR Outpatients service is a small but passionate team committed to providing high-quality, patient-centred care. You will be part of a supportive environment that encourages clinical growth, cultural awareness and innovation in care delivery. Qualifications and Experience Registered Nurse with at least 3 years post‑graduate experience Post‑graduate qualifications preferred Strong level of computer literacy and a desire to widen your range of technical skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Flexible and adaptable to the changes that occur throughout the day Capable of working in a fast‑paced, high‑volume clinical setting Commitment to continuous professional development Team player, happy to jump in and support others when required Good time management skills Strong attention to detail and organisational skills Current Annual Practising Certificate (APC) Current eligibility to work in New Zealand Local community knowledge would be of benefit About Health New Zealand Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
