Clinical Pharmacist

About the Role We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated NZ Registered Pharmacist. This is an opportunity to join a highly engaged pharmacy team with a strong emphasis on clinical service provision and quality, whilst also collaborating with a wide range of teams within Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora Taranaki. You will also participate in the on‑call roster once established in the role. The on‑call duties extend from Monday to Friday 5pm to 8am the following morning, or Friday evening to Monday morning. Responsibilities Dispensing and supplying medications in accordance with hospital protocols and national standards. Providing clinical pharmacy services, including medicines reconciliation and optimisation of treatments. Offering professional advice to healthcare teams, patients, and carers to promote safe medication use. Ensuring compliance with regulatory and hospital guidelines for medication management. Supporting stock management, including procurement and safe storage of medicines. About you Relevant experience in hospital pharmacy is desirable, ideally with a focus on clinical pharmacy; however a qualified pharmacist with a passion for hospital pharmacy would also be considered. Hold registration with the New Zealand Pharmacy Council and Annual Practising Certificate or be eligible. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
