Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity We are looking for a welcoming, organised, and customer‑focused Receptionist to join our Learning and Employability teams. As the first point of contact for students, staff, and visitors to the Old Choral Hall, you'll play an important role in creating a positive and supportive experience for everyone who walks through our doors. You'll be the friendly face that helps students navigate services, answers enquiries, and ensures people feel welcomed, informed, and supported. This is a varied and people‑focused role that combines frontline customer service with administrative support. Working across several teams, you'll help ensure the smooth day‑to‑day operation of the reception area while contributing to events, facilities coordination, and administrative activities that support student success. Key responsibilities Providing a warm and professional reception service for students, staff, and visitors Managing and triaging enquiries in person, online, and over the phone Guiding students to appropriate services, appointments, and support resources Providing administrative support across the Learning and Employability portfolio Supporting the organisation and delivery of events and engagement activities Maintaining reception, meeting, and shared spaces to ensure a welcoming environment Ordering and replenishing supplies and consumables as required Contributing to service excellence and continuous improvement initiatives This is a permanent role working 37.5 hours per week. The salary range for this role is $55,634 – $56,700 per annum depending on experience. He kōrero mōu | About you You genuinely enjoy helping people and creating positive experiences.
