Job Description
As a key member of the People & Performance team, you will be the go‑to recruiter for our hardware engineering organization, sourcing and hiring specialists who design, build, and ship Halter’s physical products. You’ll own end‑to‑end recruitment for hardware roles, build talent pipelines, partner with engineering leaders, and contribute to our talent strategy as the business scales. Responsibilities Own full‑cycle recruitment for hardware engineering roles across regions—including sourcing, screening, coordinating technical assessments, and supporting offer processes. Build and maintain proactive pipelines of hardware talent across disciplines such as embedded systems, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, RF/antenna, firmware, and manufacturing. Develop a deep understanding of hardware engineering skill sets, toolchains, and career paths to assess talent with credibility. Partner closely with hardware engineering leaders to understand team structure, technical requirements, and key success profiles for every role. Contribute to talent strategy and workforce planning, anticipating hardware hiring needs as the product roadmap evolves. Help shape and evolve our EVP specifically for hardware engineering audiences, ensuring our story resonates in a niche and competitive talent market. Build scalable recruitment practices and tooling that flex across growing hardware hiring volumes and multiple geographies. Upskill and enable hardware hiring managers through coaching on interviewing, technical assessment design, and hiring decision‑making. Partner on diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives to broaden access to hardware talent and build more representative teams. Represent Halter at engineering events, university programmes, and industry forums to strengthen our hardware talent brand. Track and share key metrics—time‑to‑fill, pipeline health, offer acceptance rates—and use them to continuously sharpen your approach. Support internal mobility and employer branding initiatives as we grow. Qualifications 5+ years in talent acquisition with a significant focus on hardware engineering recruitment—including embedded, electrical, mechanical, and related disciplines. Proven track record sourcing and closing hardware talent in competitive, niche markets. Experience recruiting across multiple hardware disciplines and regions, ideally in high‑growth or product‑led tech environments. Strong technical literacy sufficient to hold credible conversations about hardware stacks, design tools, and engineering trade‑offs. Strategic business partner capable of operating at executive reporting level while managing day‑to‑day hiring coalface. Demonstrated ability to deliver high‑quality hires at pace in a fast‑moving, high‑volume environment. Strong data and reporting skills; comfortable tracking and presenting key hiring metrics. Familiarity with employment laws, immigration, and compliance across New Zealand and ideally Australia. High emotional intelligence, excellent communication, and a proactive, solutions‑focused approach—thrive in ambiguity and take ownership. Benefits and Culture Work that genuinely matters—improve farmers’ livelihoods and build sustainable operations. Spectacular people solving hard problems—diverse, kind, and driven teammates. Autonomy, mastery, and continuous learning with opportunities like a $1,000 personal growth fund. A fast‑paced, bold‑betting culture that reshapes an industry; challenges your limits and rewards your achievements. Diversity & Inclusion Statement Halter is committed to promoting a diverse and inclusive workplace where everyone can be themselves and do the best work of their lives. Women and under‑represented groups are encouraged to apply, even if not all requirements are met. #J-18808-Ljbffr
